Christian Koivumaa is an artist who specializes in watercolor landscapes. He grew up in Sweden, surrounded by his father’s oil-painted landscape paintings. Although he spent much of his free time sketching, Christian first committed himself to a career in sports. After nine Swedish karate championships, an injury forced him to quit and rediscover his love of watercolor as a creative outlet.
Since then, he’s spent the last 12 years developing his unique technique, which has seen him become one of the top-selling artists in Sweden and has had his work exhibited at leading galleries. Christian also shares his work with over 20K followers on Instagram and teaches watercolor painting to others who are interested in the art.
