“General Composition and Text In this lesson, I'll show you the materials you'll need to start designing your poster. You can use any kind of paper, but I like to use grid paper because it helps me with the composition. I like how the blank space is broken into smaller areas so I can get a better sense of how the elements will be arranged together and how they look together. You're also going to need tracing paper. Adriana Quezada is an editorial illustrator from Mexico. Growing up, she was always creative and went on to study graphic design at university, where she discovered a passion for illustration in particular. After graduating, she began working at an advertising agency as the head of design, whilst also specializing in illustration at UNAM Academy of San Carlo. Three years later, Adriana decided to pursue a career as a freelance illustrator.
Since then, she’s collaborated with renowned magazines including Men’s Health, Life and Style, and Eres niños, and participated in collective exhibitions in the U.S., Italy, and Mexico. Adriana won the third Ibero-American Illustration Catalog contest and the 2014 Visual Impressions contest. She has also illustrated books for Editorial Castillo, Porrúa, and the Department of Public Education in Mexico.
