### Introduction

Hello! Welcome to my course! In this unit, I will tell you a bit about myself, my journey into being an illustrator/artist full time. I will talk about its ups and downs, and how it is that I ended up actually doing this for a living and how sketchbooks have played a key role in my career. Lastly, I will tell you about the project we’ll do in this course.

### Sketchbooks, Pencils and Mindset

In this unit, we will talk about a few drawing utensils that suit this course project, but more importantly, we are going to talk about some ideas and mind shifts regarding making art and drawing that have helped me grow and evolve and be happier with my art practice.

### Drawing!

In this unit, I am going to explain the weekly exercises for the month-long project. We will be doing drawings of people and environments, life drawing and studies of inanimate objects, drawing from our imagination, and lastly, we will add narrative to our drawings through text.

### So, What Do We Have Here?

In this unit, we will take a look at our drawings and think about the things we like and things we don't. And how the things we don't like are equally as important as the things we like, just less enjoyable.
