## Content

### Introduction

Hi! Welcome and thank you for choosing my Domestika course.

In this unit you’ll get to know a little bit about me, my influences and how they have led me to where I am today creatively. I will share some of my favourite pieces of work and then we’ll look at what we’ll be creating together in this course

### Getting Started with Chocolate, Colours and Mold Making

In this unit I will show you the equipment used -and any alternatives if you don’t have them in your house-, show you the ingredients for colouring and flavouring the chocolate and how to do that. Before we start working with the chocolate I will give you some tips on how to set up your workspace, how to make moulds from lego or card and create different textures of baking paper. Then I will show you how to temper chocolate and what happens if you don’t temper it correctly - and how that can actually work to your advance.

### Creating Our Chocolate Designs

In this unit we’ll start our process of actually creating some beautiful chocolate designs. Using the tempered chocolate slab that we made in Unit 2, we will practice making marble, concrete and terrazzo designs. I will then talk you through how to make a more complex silicone mold, casting an object of your choice.

### Posting, Presentation and Tasting!

In this unit we’ll look at what you can do once your chocolate has been created. We will learn about storage, transportation and how to package sustainably. Also, how to take beautiful pictures for social media and the most fun part: tasting and pairing chocolate.
