## Requirements and materials

No previous experience is required to take this course.

As for materials, you will need a 2B graphite pencil, a set of colored pencils (at least twelve colors), white paper, an eraser, a desk lamp, a pen, and a lineart pen. To edit your illustration digitally, you will need a scanner and a computer with photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop (as your teachers will be using).

In this unit, we will talk about the concept and elements of the manga style. In addition, we will choose the character to be portrayed on the Model Sheet and gather the necessary materials to start producing.

### Building a character

In this unit, we will explain the process of building a character, from its proportions, through the movement of the body, clothing, to elements of the face and facial expressions.

### Model Sheet

In this unit, you will learn how to finalize your Model Sheet, digitize it, make the last adjustments and, finally, publish it on your social networks.
