## What is this course's project?

Create a UI Kit that will allow you to speed up your work when creating screens for an application. During the course, Migue will be working on a music app.

## Requirements and materials

Basic knowledge of Sketch is required to take this course.

 As for materials, you will need a computer with macOS Mojave or higher and have the latest version of Sketch installed (you can download the trial version on its website). Having a Wacom is a plus, but it is not essential.

### Introduction

Hey, I welcome you to my course at Domestika! In this unit I will tell you about who I am, what I have done and how my path has been through my professional career and also in which projects I have participated personally and professionally. To conclude the unit I will share with you some of my influences and what we will do throughout the course.

### Sketch concepts and setup

In this unit I will teach you what a UI Kit is and what is the difference with a design system. I'll talk to you about interface design patterns and show you how I organize my files and the methodology I use for this.

### Laying the foundations of our UI Kit with Sketch

In this unit we will review our project that we will use to create our UI Kit. We will analyze what components we have to create and we will go on to defining our _style guides_ going through the colors, the font, the _grids_ and even the _set_ of icons.

### To create atomic components in Sketch

In this unit you will learn to create components applying the _look and feel_ that we have defined. I will teach you how to create atoms and after that I will show you how to create molecules and finally you will see how to make screens with all these created components.

### Libraries in Sketch

Here I will show you how to use our Sketch UI Kit as a library and how to keep it updated when we have new components and need to add them.
