## Content

### Let's Get to Know Each Other!

In this unit, you will start by getting to know me a little bit. I will tell you about my work, my career as a designer, and some of my favorite projects. I'm also going to show you some of my sources of inspiration. You can use them in your work, and I'll tell you about some of the lettering artists that I admire a lot. Lastly, I will explain this course's final project.

### Lettering as a Design Tool

I will provide you with a brief overview of theory: you will learn what lettering is for, the different styles that there are and how you can play with certain elements to give it a very personal touch. Also, I will give you some tips to have the best possible sketch to move on to vectorization.

### Node to Node

In this third unit, you will learn the vectorization process from scratch. You will start by reviewing a bit of theoretical bases and the best set-up for your file and then enter the orthogonal drawing process. You will start working with very basic shapes until you move on to more complex styles such as brush scripts with a little contrast. You will also learn to do a final check of the optical settings for your lettering piece and later, I will show you how to work the visual part of your lettering piece, such as color and other effects such as shading.

### The Wow! Factor

Finally, I am going to teach you two brief lessons: the first, on how to prepare your project to send it to production, either for print or for digital media, and the second, on how to present a lettering project to a client.
