Requirements and materials

Some basic knowledge of sewing is recommended but not essential. All you need to follow and complete the course is enthusiasm and a desire to create.

In terms of materials, you need a sketchbook, needles, thread, felt fabric, scissors, a geometry set, a pen, a pencil, cardboard, stuffing, a tape measure, a cutter, and a cutting surface. The use of a sewing machine is optional.

Omar Gad, also known as Piti Piti, is a self-taught textile sculptor specializing in three-dimensional pattern design and textile solutions. He is passionate about geometry, terror, mystery, and toys and is in constant search of the unusual.

Since opening the Piti Piti Plush Art studio, he has developed several lines of his own products, participated in individual and group exhibitions in Mexico and abroad, as well as collaborated with renowned artists and designers such as El Grand Chamaco, Bue the Warrior, Quique Ollervides, Pogo, Tixinda, Chika Galaxia, and more.

He has also worked commercially with clients including the Galería Mexicana del Diseño, Vértigo Galería, Hula Hula, MUAC, Passion & Design, Rojo Bermelo, Pepsi, Red Bull México, Habas World Wide, Kastner & Partners, and Digital Invaders.
