Meet Textile Artist Sara Moreno in this Domestika Diary

Discover how this macramé expert organises her day

Sara Moreno (@fruto_samore) is a textile artist from Burgos established in Madrid. She’s passionate about nature, craft and macramé. She also created Fruto Samore, her signature brand dedicated to interior design and home décor, which focuses on sustainability and textile art.

Sara invited Domestika Diary to follow her for a day, to give you a closer picture of her creative routine. Don’t miss the video!

Sara lives in the outskirts of Madrid with her husband, two children and their dog. Her house is surrounded by plants and nature, making it an ideal place for inspiration.

The artist tends to start every new project by sketching. It helps her get a clear idea of what she’s going to make. She also carefully selects the ideal materials for each project and generates a cosy atmosphere to start work.

Sara has a little home studio, where she keeps all her materials and current projects. She loves being commissioned to create unique woven tapestries and macramé projects. She’s passionate about macramé, it’s what allows her to be at her most creative. “I forget all the bad things and reach a state of perfect emotional well-being when I’m doing my ‘knot therapy’. It fulfills me and makes me happy.” Sara explains.
