Remembering Clara Gutierrez: A Talented Ceramist and Beloved Teacher
Join us in remembering the legacy and work of the talented Clara Gutierrez, as we honor her journey in life and at Domestika.
We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Clara Gutierrez, affectionately known as Clarina, a beloved teacher at Domestika. Clara began her journey as an art historian, but her passion for ceramics led her to pursue a career in this artistic field. She studied ceramics at the prestigious Arts et Techniques Céramiques school in Paris, where she honed her craft and developed her unique style.

In 2020, Clara opened her own studio in Madrid, a space that became a hub for creativity and learning. Here, she taught ceramic classes and worked on a diverse range of projects, from personal creations to professional commissions. Her work is characterized by modern and minimalist designs that bring joy to everyday life. Clara's collections include exquisite crockery, decorative pieces, and fashion jewelry, all of which can be found in stores across Spain and France, as well as in her own physical and online shops.
Clara's vibrant personality and ambition left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Her colleague and friend, Alba, shared, "I can tell you that she was someone who didn't go unnoticed once you had met her. She was super cheerful and ambitious; just looking at her made you feel ready to take on the world. Her relationship with the team was not just professional but also personal; it was really important for her to connect with the people she was working with, and we maintained that communication ever since. I feel so blessed to have met her."
Clara's legacy as a talented ceramist and dedicated teacher will continue to inspire and influence the Domestika community. Her course remains available on Domestika, allowing students to learn from her extensive knowledge and passion for ceramics.
Clara will be profoundly missed, but her spirit lives on through her beautiful creations and the countless lives she touched through her teaching.
