Free Download: Guide to define the personality of your brand in 5 steps

The personality of a brand is fundamental since it is the soul and essence that distinguishes it and makes it unique. Defining the personality before starting to design will make your document have coherence with your visual identity. Here is a step-by-step guide with five keys to define personality effectively:

1. Who are you speaking to?
Defining the audience helps us define whether our presentation should be more formal, with fewer colors and more serious images or, on the contrary, more friendly, with lots of colors and more vibrant images.

2. Use the list of adjectives:
Selecting the right adjectives when defining a brand's personality is fundamental, as they influence how it is perceived by the public and establish an emotional connection with consumers. I invite you to download our free glossary of adjectives to help you choose the terms that best suit your brand.

3. Identify the right attributes:
Once you have your list, reflect on the attributes that best represent your brand - do you prefer vibrant colors and organic shapes, or a more sober, geometric palette? Are you targeting a young, modern market or a more traditional, conservative one? Highlight the attributes that are consistent with what you want to project.

4. Add them to the style guide:
Once you have defined the attributes that represent your brand's personality, it is crucial to capture them in your style guide. This guide serves as a reference for all visual elements related to your brand. From the color palette or images to the choice of typography, everything should be aligned with these attributes you already defined.

5. Maintain consistency:
Remember that consistency is key in design so that everything you design is always aligned to your brand identity. Always go back to your style guide to remember your attributes and what you want your brand to convey. This ensures that your brand remains recognizable and memorable.
