Nail Art Basics
Nail art is an artistic way of expression that utilizes miniature “canvases” to achieve striking images... But I would recommend not using your beautiful nails to “strike” anyone physically tough...
Going over the basics won’t hurt (hopefully!):
Firstly: cuticle nippers, brushes, semi-permanent nail polishes, and an LED lamp will come in handy. If you want to get fancy: hand lotion, cuticle oil and dotting tools might help you out too. And of course a nail polish remover could help since you might want to change colors one day, no?
Once you got all that covered, buying one of each of the primary colors along with a base coat, topcoat, and a few glitter polishes is enough to create a range of stunning looks. Applying a base coat is a must because it protects the natural nail beds from staining and makes the polish adhere to the surface better.
If these are too many preliminaries feel free to go ahead and download the color palate! This is the last tip I promise: Always draw the design on paper first to test it out. That’s it!

A Bit Of Color Theory
Now, some color theory...! Yes I know... you just want the downloadable file, but hear me out:
We got four color palates you can download, the first one is “monochromatic” which is self- explanatory. Just different shades of one color...
The second is composed of “complementary” colors that go well together. You can figure these out with a basic color wheel of primary and secondary colors, but basically: Red and green, blue and orange, yellow and purple, yellow-green and red-purple, red-orange and blue-green are some of the combinations that work together well.
You can arrange complementary tinctures for your nails by aligning primary colors with their opposite counterpart in the wheel, which happen to be secondary colors (a mixture of two different primary colors), like how Yellow is a primary and Purple a secondary but they can go well together.
The third palate is called “Analogous”. These colors are close with each other in the wheel. Analogous colors tend to appear in nature. Like how the sky might be blue and the forest green (or grey and grey sometimes...).
Here are a few examples of analogous color schemes:
• Yellow, yellow-green, green
• Violet, red-violet, and red
• Red, red-orange, orange
• Blue, blue-violet, violet
And for the fourth palate you will need to download it and see, to keep a bit of the mystery going even longer...
