From the moment amigurumi designer Leire Villar, better known as Ameskeria (@ameskeria), discovered her love for these cute figures, she’s been putting her passion into practice as seen in her two Domestika courses.

In this download, Leire shares a pattern and shows you how to create a dress for your amigurumi step by step. Discover how to achieve the necessary volume to build the dress's ruffle and how to add more flounce just by varying the stitch.

Amigurumi wardrobe and hairstyles

Handmade crochet dolls have become a prominent trend in fashion design, interior decoration, and, most importantly, in the fantastical world of toys and stuffed animals. Amigurumi are loved by young and old alike, and one of the keys to their popularity is the variety of shapes and colors used to bring them to life.

Often portraying real people and animals, the dolls' outfits and hairstyles enhance their personalities. Leire knows that the more you use your taste to characterize an amigurumi, the more unique and personal your creation will be. In her Domestika course, she shows you how to create the following wardrobe pieces:

- Pants
- Dungarees
- Shirts
- Laced skirts with different kinds of ruffles
- Dresses
- Coats
- Footwear: shoes, boots,...
- Accessories such as hats, caps, scarves, handbags, and glasses.

Remember, you can also weave in different hairstyles, from cropped to long curly hair, as well as braids and buns. Creating a complete outfit for your amigurumi doll, from top to toe, including accessories, is an exercise of freedom and creativity.
