Lorenzo Bennassar

I started in brand communication in 1988, at Chiat/Day New York, one of the best places to start I could ever dream of, and deservedly named agency of the decade by Advertising Age that same year. There I worked close to advertising legends like Bill Hamilton, Lee Clow, Nick Cohen, John Butler, Mike Shine or director David Fincher.

In 1989 I moved to Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide Headquarters in New York. Another dream place where I had the chance to team and/or see first hand the work of incredible professionals like Rick Boyko, Gordon Bowen, Parry Merkley, Ty Montague and genius photographers Lois Greenfield, Richard Avedon or Annie Leibovitz.

Then I moved to Milan, in 1992, to work in the european Ogilvy network where I proudly teamed up in european projects in Paris with Christian Reuilly andBarcelona with Lluis Bassat. In 1992 I accepted an offer to go to DDB Chile, where I stayed 3 years working on some awarded campaigns. I moved back to Spain in 1995, where I worked as creative director in Saatchi&Saatchi, Dentsu and McCann Erickson. First Barcelona, then Madrid and finally Seville where I started working as multidisciplinary creative (advertising, graphic design, motion graphics, ephemeral architecture, brand strategy, etc.). Throughout these years I've been developping work for clients like:

ICEX Brasil, Camper, Opel, entradas.com, ONCE lottery, Gastón & Daniela Fabrics, kiDDia, 20minutos free newspaper, Australian Sportswear Italy, Bonka Coffee, Modo Eyewear, Wash'ya, Telefónica Worldwide, Extenda Beijin, ONO Communications, ElPozo Inlay, Strange Fruit Productions, Xclus Wine, Pepe Jeans London, Pastry Artist Christian Escribá, Bullfighter Javier Conde, Architect Vazquez Consuegra, or Ecological Ice World Leader Xtraice.

From 2006 until 2009 I lead all the communication work of the Andalucia Information Society Plan, along with Alain Uceda, as partners and founders of Andalucía Lab Com.

In the summer of 2010 I created the winning offline and online Communication Strategy for the now elected Seville's mayor elections candidate.

Since 2009, I've combined my creative and strategy work with the Brand Communication Research & Development, to investigate and develop new technology and social media ways to help brand building communication.

In 2010 and 2011 I've been proposed as art director candidate to the Spanish National Design Award, the highest achievable recognition to design and art direction in Spain.
