My project for course: Logo Design: Graphic Simplification and Minimalism

The idea behind this project was to create a modern and fresh looking logo for a seafood buffet restaurant, targeting younger audiences and families with kids at the same time.

I wanted the logo to look funny and approachable while maintaining modern minimalistic qualities.

Major features of the pelican shape that I wanted to make prominent:
1. Open "hungry" beak, asking for food.
2. Big pouch.
3. Chunky body.
4. Short legs.

As for the color scheme I kept in mind summer Greece seaside, capturing the dazzling blue of the sea and soft colors of the sand. To add a fresh touch to this color scheme I muted the sand color and added a pinkish touch to it.

The color and shape will stand out among the competitors for sure because they prefer subdued and dusky tones and their logos lack clear organization and simplicity of forms.
