I always start out with a black and white line drawing in Adobe Fresco.
I always start out with a black and white line drawing in Adobe Fresco.
I create separate layers for the horizontal black lines, vertical black lines, and finally, the white lines.

Once the drawing is finished, I add the background pattern in illustrator and color it in photoshop.
