I wanted to make something different and so I thought about making the female version of HellBoy, The HellGirl!
Here you can see the end result! It took me sometime to finish the project, but in the end it was an amazing experience and I am very thankful for everything I learned in this course!
Down below you can see how I made HellGirl!
To start the project I searched for character and style references and gathered them in a mood board using PureRef.
I started by sculpting the head and then adding details to it. The horns were made using cylinders. I tried different hairstyles and ended up choosing the more dynamic-looking one.
I made the Right Hand of Doom using cylinders for the arm and extruding a cube and duplicating it for the fingers.
The clothing was made from drawing its shape over her body using the MaskLasso tool and then extracting the mask.
Her pouches were modeled in Blender and then imported into Zbrush.
I used the TransPose tool for the pose. After finishing the pose I did some re-sculpting to fix some minor issues on the topology and then sent the model to Keyshot for rendering.
In KeyShot I used 3 cameras for the rendering and 3 square lights, one coming from the top e 2 rim lights.
In Photoshop I adjusted the image using the Camera RAW Filter and added my watermark.
