Team Rubicon: Built to Serve

Sometimes the work you do can be very focused and simple. Years ago, I worked with a heroic organization called Team Rubicon, first responders in humanitarian crises, to help them articulate their mission.

In the end, we agreed upon three simple words, which applied to both the organization as a whole and the individual members: BUILT TO SERVE.

Team Rubicon has used the line its materials over the years (the video above is an example, but to be clear, the only thing I provided in that video was the tagline). But what was truly humbling was when I learned that some of the Team Rubicon members had tattooed the line on their bodies.
