COP26 x Robert Montgomery

“Grace of the Sun” was a vast-scale light poem by artist Robert Montgomery commissioned by Little Sun (Olafur Eliasson’s clean energy non-profit). The project was made possible by green tech pioneer Octopus Energy and MTArt Agency.

This solar-powered light poem was shown at the UN climate conference (COP26) to urge commitment to renewable energy. The artwork was constructed using 1,000 solar powered Little Sun lights and stood 11 metres wide and 5 metres tall. The giant solar light poem illuminated every day at sunset as a poetic beacon of hope for Glasgow.
