Post-Roe State Access Embroidery Map

Recently, a document from the U.S. Supreme Court was leaked that proposes to overturn Roe V. Wade, a court decision from the 1970s that protects women's right to abortion in the states. If Roe V. Wade is successfully overturned, the country will be split in half: half of women will be able to access abortion, half will not. I felt compelled to create a piece that depicts this data using cross stitch because it is such an important women's issue. Women's rights are routinely undermined and devalued, similar to women's mediums of art and craft (like cross stitch).
