Certain architectural elements from existing building are modified and put to serve different functions to create new composition of mass and space. The elements are turned into fences, tracks, vertical structure and horizontal program mass. The starting point of the outermost fence is kept to the location of the existing building. Fence is a physical boundary which divides spaces. In this project, Different layers of boundaries are used to create multiple in-between spaces that could find intimate relationship to the programs distributed around the site. Posts lined up close to one another creates a porous wall which implies the remnant of the old existing armory. Single loop of track is an offset from the boundary fence. It provides an implied secondary boundary and endless circulation paths connecting different programs. Vertical mass is a structural wall with a thickness, accommodating vertical circulation to the programs. It also works as a structure for both the fence and the track.
