New Hand Built Vases

I'm super happy with how these ladies turned out! They were created with a hand building technique I really have been getting into lately. In this technique, two clay slabs of similar shapes are carefully bent during the drying process, and then attached together. The edges are strengthened with a role of fresh clay, after which the piece is finished off with a wet sponge and sculpting tools and painted by hand. What I love about this is that it lets you explore new shapes and designs easily as you get to realize any drawn shape in a ceramic pot or vase.
