Ukio’s mission is to empower individuals to live where they want, when they want.

We do this by disrupting the traditional residential real estate market and providing furnished and serviced apartments for stays of one month or more. We remove all the hassle around finding a rental with no long-term contracts, moving and buying furniture, security deposits, broker fees, etc. giving our customers choice and flexibility.

Ukio was founded in 2020 by two brothers with deep experience in hospitality and technology. Our close-knit team is made up of smart, friendly and ambitious individuals with a can-do attitude and an ability to work in a fast paced and unstructured start-up environment.

Backed by Europe's best Venture Capital firms, the next 12 months will be a critical phase in our growth as we look to build out our team further and expand into multiple markets.


Beautiful design lies at the heart of Ukio. Your mission is to ensure our brand continues to meet our required quality and standards through designing stunning flats, overseeing the process from start to finish with help from a project manager. You will be responsible for the entire design process and renovations of each apartment. This includes creation of floorplan, vendor management, and final implementation.

We are a new start-up, so you’ll be given a high degree of autonomy and expected to deal with numerous challenges and opportunities along the way. This job best suits someone with a very strong creative eye who is highly organized, proactive and motivated by responsibility.

The job is based in Madrid.


• Design moodboard and floorplans within budget for each Ukio project
• Manage and build vendor relationships
• Source items and furniture from various local and international suppliers
• Manage design budgets and timelines for each apartment. Our timelines are very tight so we need someone to be able to work under pressure.
• Oversee furniture implementation during onboarding
• Work cross functionally with supply chain and facilities team for efficient onboarding process
• Manage and oversee photo shoots of all properties
• Help update Ukio’s design guidelines and standards


• You have 3+ years of interior design experience in hospitality or residential services
• Deep organizational skills to maintain timelines and budgets
• Fluent in Spanish and conversational in English
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with short turnaround in a fast paced environment
• Proficiency in leading Design Software tools (e.g. Autocad, Photoshop, etc.)
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams
• Experience in an early or mid-stage start-ups is a plus as is an undergraduate or masters degree in design
